Warranty, Cancellations & Returns

At DÖTCH LEATHER, we are committed to creating products of the highest craftsmanship and want you to feel confident in every purchase. Below is our warranty, cancellation, and returns policies.



Warranty

We offer a 12-month warranty on all products purchased from us. This warranty covers:

  • Broken straps or grab handles

  • Tears to the external leather structure caused by normal usage

  • Hardware defects (broken zips, buckles, or press studs)

The warranty does not cover:

  • General wear and tear

  • Water damage or disregard of care instructions

  • Alterations made to the product by third parties

  • The natural ageing process of leather (patina, scratches, burnishing, etc.)

Making a Warranty Claim

To submit a claim, please:

  1. Contact us with a description of the issue and supporting photos.

  2. Provide your order number and date of purchase.

  3. Follow the instructions provided if your claim is accepted.

Our warranty applies to all purchases made on or after 18 September 2018.


 

Cancellation & Returns

If you are purchasing as a consumer, the following applies:

  • Personalised or Customised Items: These are non-refundable and non-returnable, unless the item is defective.

  • Standard Items: You may cancel your order before dispatch for a full refund. If you wish to return an item after receiving it, you must notify us within 14 days of delivery by emailing contact@dotchleather.com. After this period, cancellation rights expire.

 

Conditions for Returns

  • Products must be returned in unused, original condition, in their original packaging, with all tags and seals intact.

  • Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs, except where the product is defective and damaged in transit.

  • DÖTCH does not provide prepaid return labels. We recommend ensuring the return shipment and obtaining proof of postage.

Refunds, repairs, or replacements will be processed only after the returned item has been received and inspected.

 

Refund Reductions or Refusals

We reserve the right to reduce or deny refunds if:

  • The product has been used or damaged.

  • You fail to notify us within the required period.

  • The item was discounted due to existing imperfections at purchase.


 

Faulty or Damaged Products

If your product is:

  • Faulty upon delivery

  • Not fit for purpose

  • Not as described

  • Or damaged in transit

Please contact us at contact@dotchleather.com within 14 days of delivery. We will request photographic evidence before approving a return. For defective or damaged goods, we will cover the reasonable return shipping costs.

Important Notes

  • Our return address is a handling facility only and cannot assist with in-person queries. Full return instructions will be provided when you notify us of your return.

  • Please include your order number, purchase date, name, and address when returning a product.
